Oklahoma Bingo

[ English ]

Oklahoma has for a long time been synonymous with Bingo. That’s due to the fact that the Amerindian tribes of Oklahoma have run Bingo games for ages. Clients from each of the nearby states pile in vans and travel to Oklahoma to enjoy Bingo over the weekends.

The 1988 IGRA was introduced after a precedent setting decision by The U.S. Supreme Court just the year prior. Since that time, 23 of the thirty nine Indian bands located in Oklahoma have opened gambling halls. The Chickasaw were the initial Oklahoma Indian band to take advantage of the gambling rules, and at this time control 10 casinos of their own. Bingo is the game on which these gambling dens were built on. Electronic games such as slots weren’t permitted, since they are believed to contribute to gambling addiction more than bingo.

In recent years, Oklahoma rules has altered to permit big Indian wagering gambling halls. You’ll now find Indian gambling dens with slots, video poker and blackjack tables. Craps and roulette are not approved in the American Indian casinos as of yet, but that is simply a matter of time. Nobody can determine whether having different games in the bingo parlours will do for the draw of bingo.
